Other changes include a rearview camera for Sport and R-Line trim (late availability) and features added for V6 Executive (keyless entry / ignition and foot under the bumper sensors for hands-free operation of the trunk).
2014 Volkswagen CC is definitive proof that style and midsize sedans are not mutually exclusive. Indeed, the CC is not only good looking for this segment; it is a handsome car, period. 2014 CC has some interesting standard features, too, including 3-on rear seat (CC-previous generation has two rear buckets), xenon headlights, LED running lights and automatic climate control dual-zone, even on the entry-level Sport Model.
But VW does not throw this stuff in for free. CC base price is now more than $ 30,000, and it opens up a whole new world of alternative. In comparison, most midsize sedan starting under $ 25,000. CC looks great, no doubt, but it's a lot for what is essentially the beginning of the previous generation Passat reskinned.
Overall, though, the 2014 CC is very well equipped and refined so that it is difficult to question the price of VW's strategy. If you appreciate the finer things in the street, you probably would not blink at handing grand extra for a premium product refuted. Sharp styling is what will catch the eyes of everyone, but CC has plenty of substance, too.
